Study Abroad

We encourage undergraduate and graduate students interested in medieval and Renaissance studies to investigate study abroad options: Do you want to see a Shakespeare play you studied at Pitt staged at the reconstructed Globe Theater?

Visit Chartres Cathedral to see first-hand its Gothic architecture and stained glass windows? Learn Italian so you can read Dante’s Inferno in the original language?

Students interested in studying abroad should meet with the Director of the Program in Medieval and Renaissance Studies in order to get pre-approval for courses they may want to count towards the Certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies.

Please consult with program faculty and the study abroad office for guidance in choosing a suitable program and for information on study abroad scholarships and financial aid.
