The Invention of Race in the European Middle Ages: A Conversation with Geraldine Heng

February 7, 2020 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm

MRST is pleased to welcome Professor Geraldine Heng (English, UT Austin). Heng's book, The Invention of Race in the European Middle Ages (Cambridge, 2018) has quickly become a landmark in Medieval Studies. We are pleased to host a conversation about the book in which Prof. Heng will share with us some of the work that went into the book and we will hear brief responses from a number of Pitt faculty from a variety of disciplines, who will discuss how the book has shaped their own thinking and been received in their disciplines.
