Pittsburgh Consortium for Medieval and Renaissance Studies

The Pittsburgh Consortium for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (PCMRS) is a collection of scholars and students from the western Pennsylvania region interested in the arts, literature, history, philosophy, and culture of the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Early Modern Period (to the end of the 17th century). Its members are drawn from numerous disciplines and represent a range of institutions, including Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, the University of Pittsburgh, West Virginia University, Chatham College and Slippery Rock University. The aim of the consortium is to coordinate activities among the different campuses in the region and to raise the profile of medieval and renaissance studies more generally at our respective institutions.
